Needle Transfer tools are placed in the back of a 16ga or 14ga needle to ensure a smooth transition from needle to labret post. While pin tapers fit seamlessly into a 18ga needle without a needle transfer tool, the taper pin is too small to be stabilized within larger gauge needles.
These needle transfer tools cannot be used without or in place of a pin taper.
